Acknowledge the darkness within in order to find the light

There is a chasm of unknowns, uncertainties, and often discomfort around the topic of mental health. It’s one that I keep at the forefront as an essential staple for understanding who I am as a writer as well as the characters I create.
It’s time to jump off the cliff and take on the things that scare us, the things that make us feel uncomfortable. Be courageous and explore the deepest, darkest crevices of the mind through characters that embody various mental health conditions, have survived trauma, and continue to fight for the chance at happiness.
Through these trials and tribulations, tough-as-nails protagonists, forged by the fires of Hell arise. They’ll journey through fantastical plots weaved in dark themes, high-tension-temptation-filled romance, and a gothic, ominous atmosphere, in search of the salvation and they so deeply desire. You’ll experience heartbreaking emotion, empathy, and a hunger for the characters to earn their happily ever after.
